Elizabeth with Justin Jones, our Clark County Commissioner for District F
Why I’m running
I’m running for the State Assembly to provide voters in the 23rd Assembly District with a real choice as to who will represent them in our state government. I’m a centrist who wants to work with both sides of the aisle to get things done.
The people of the State of Nevada – and especially those in my assembly district – want a common sense government that works for them. They don’t want grandstanding or extremist points of view. They want real solutions, not ideological pandering. I bring experience in law and management from the public and private sectors, and I’m ready to get to work serving the people of Nevada and making sure the Nevada of 2022 is still offering promises of a good life for everyone who is ready to work hard.
I moved to Henderson 25 years ago, and since that time I’ve been troubled by changes I’ve seen in the community. I watched as my neighborhood changed from an ordinary middle class community into an unstable collection of Airbnb. I have seen the quality of education and public services deteriorate in Southern Nevada. I have seen reduced opportunities and reduced service in our community. I know our state needs to find new solutions to create new jobs, new educational opportunities, and new horizons for every Nevadan.
